Sometimes you find photos in the strangest ways. This was a grocery store run after a small snowstorm in February. As I zoomed along the road, I kept seeing geese flying over me and disappearing ahead. I rounded a curve, and the open field to my right was full of geese. More geese than I have ever seen in one place. It was like a moving carpet.

I don’t normally like geese, but these were cool. and the snow as their backdrop gave it a very monochromatic feel that is one of my favorite photographic results.
